Runn Radio is a community internet radio station broadcasting from Runnymede, UK.
My first involvement with the station was as a presenter, but over time offered my services to create apps/services providing listeners more ways to tune in.
Smart assistants
The Alexa Skill and Google Assistant Action are both built using their respective consoles, pulling in a live Radiojar stream in an mp3 format.
Mobile apps
The mobile apps are both written using React Native and Expo, and pull their data from the existing WordPress website’s API. It currently supports live streaming (including currently playing song and album art), live show schedules and presenter bios. Builds and deployments are managed using EAS.
